Graph 1 is the mens 100 metres- we knew this because the scale went down so we knew it had to be running and the axis was time.
Graph 2 is the mens long jump- we knew this beacause the records went up each time so we knew the axis had to be length.
Graph 3 is the womens 1500 metres- we knew this because the records went down every time so we knew the axis had to be time.
Graph 4 is the mens high jump- we knew this because it went up in 0.5 so we knew it was in metres.
Graph 5 is the mens javelin- we knew this because the records went up till it got up to over 90 then it started to come down again, because they made it harder, the axis is in metres.
Graph 6 is the womens high jump- we knew this because it was the same scale as graph 4 but the records were lower.
Graph 7 is the decathlon- we knew this because the numbers were higher than anything else and they were too high to be the heptathlon.
Graph 8 is the womens 10,000 metres- we knew this because the times were slower than the mens would be and it was to slow to be anything less distance, the axis is in minutes, seconds and milliseconds.
Graph 9 is the mens 4x100 metre relay- we knew this because it was to fast to be the 400 metres and too fast to be the womens relay.
Graph 10 is the womens 200 metres- we knew this because it was the same scale as the 1st graph but had slower records.
