STARTING TO EXPLORE WITH 4 CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS

1)
A) The consecutive numbers are 31,31,33 and 34. To figure this out, I first roughly divided 130 by 4 to get roughly 30. I then did the rest with trial and error.

B) For this question, like 1A, I found the consecutive numbers that add to 38, then made them negative.

2) First I found that:
d = (a+b+c)-10
Then, I rearranged the equation to:
d-10=a+b+c
After that, I thought of ā€˜a’ being the largest number and ā€˜d’ being the smallest number. I then worked backwards with trial and error to get:
a=5
b=4
c=3
d=2

3) For this question, I substituted the numbers above accordingly and got the equation:
(5+2)-(4+3) = 7 - 7 = 0
Therefore, the answer is 0.
4) The question a+b+c-d can have result of:
10
