My strategy was to measure the length of the bar, and mark it on my ruler. Then I put it up to the blue bar, marked a line on the paper where it was on my ruler, and then put my fingers up to the line and the closest black line. Then I kept the space between my fingers and brought them to the start of the bar and made a mark every time I had made that space. I would keep on doing that until I got to the end of the original line that I made, and made sure that I counted how many times I made that space.
