We realised that the 8-pointed star would be a square number so we went through the square numbers below 12: 4 & 9. First of all, we tried 9 and realised that this could be a possible answer . The square root of 9 is 3; therefore , the rectangle would be 3. Next we realised the answer to question D would be a square number. The only possible number would be 4 and the square root of 4 would be 2. Also question A would be 3 (rectangle) times 4 (oval) which equals 12 (circle). 12 (circle) divided by 2 (square) equals 6 (triangle). To work out B we multiplied 2 (square) by 4 (oval) which is 8 (semi-circle). For F we soon realised that the upside down isosceles triangle had to be 0. After this we decided the 5-pointed star would be 5. Making the hexagon 10. After discussion we came to a conclusion that the rhombus would have to be 1.
