My solution is that if you guess the coordinates in the middle of the square then guess in the corners, e.g. you guess (6,6) ad it says 8 steps away, I would guess into the corners, clicking (2,2) this would give me a clear idea of where the treasure might be. Using my solution, trying three times for a fair guess, I got it in 3 guesses, then 4, then three again, making my average 3.33
