Treasure Hunt Advaya

This is a trial and error, so the number of moves it takes completely depends on which place you chose to start with.

 If you want to do it in the least number of moves, here is you strategy:

1. Choose your starting point. As I said before, the number of moves you take depends on your starting point. For first move, I usually prefer 6th row 6th column as starting point.
2. When you enter the coordinates, the number of steps it is away from the treasure is shown. Let's imagine it is 3 steps away. Draw a rhombus shape around the chosen point, 3 steps away from the chosen point.
3. Choose one of the marked intersections. Let's say you chose 3, 6. 
4. If it is 6 steps away from 3,6; then choose one 6 steps away from 3,6 and 3 steps away from 6,6.
5. If you follow this exactly, you could win within 6-8 moves!

I came across this trick while working in treasure hunt NRICH. It was a fun, cool and easy (but bit hard, that is why it is fun!) activity. Please keep making activities like this!
