To begin with I would I would have to add all 4 other the numbers surrounding the square in the middle which would give me the total of amount of data that I need to find the mean for. Then I would divide the total amount of data that I found by adding the 4 numbers by 4 as that is the amount of sets of data that there is. After the division has been done, this would give me the mean of the data.
