We had to figure out how many brothers and sisters were in the Brown family all together. We used bears to help us figure out the problem. We used blue bears for the brothers and green bears for the sisters. We put two sisters and 1 brother and that didn't work. We guessed and checked and found out that if we had 3 brothers and 4 sisters, Sally would have an equal number of brothers and sisters and Mark would have twice as many sisters as brothers.
