I then looked at each of the possibilities and chose a number sentence for each making sure an addend was not repeated. The 7 envelope must have the 7 and 0 cards, the 13 envelope must have the 9 and 4 cards, the 14 envelope must have the 8 and 6 card, and the 3 envelope must have the 2 and 1 cards. So this leaves the 5 and 3 cards left which when added equal 8.
