We had two solutions to make 12, as we weren't sure whether squaring a number counted as an operation. these were
4squared - 4 + 4 -4
4 - (4 / 4) x 4
We made 15 by 4to the power 4 / 4 - 4 / 4 OR (4 x 4) - (4 / 4)
We made 16 by 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 OR (4 / 4) x 4 x 4
We made 17 by (4 x 4) + (4 / 4)
4 x 4 was useful when making numbers near 16 as we could then plus or minus one.
We realised that 4 / 4 was very important as we could use it to make 1 which helped us make lots of numbers.
0 = (4 - 4) x 4 x 4 OR 4 - 4 + 4 - 4
1 = 4 / 4 + 4 - 4
2 = (4 / 4) + (4 / 4)
3 = ((4 x 4) - 4) / 4
