The reason why I think my answers are mathematically correct, is because I worked out the difference between 1908 and 1948 and got 40 years, then I worked out the difference between 1948 and 2012 and got 64 years. Next I worked out the difference between the times of the different distances ran; then would divide that by 40 and next times that by 64. Finally I would subtract the difference off of the time in 1948 and 2012 for each distance to get the time it took to run in 2012.
