I agree with both Charlie's and Alison's statements. Charlie chose numbers that were all multiples of 7 and Alison chose numbers that were all multiples of 7 add 2.
My similar statements would be: it will be Tuesday again in 6 days....
and in 83 days...
and in 140006 days...
and in 706 days...
and in 35006 days...
and in 8656129 days!

My answer to the question,'If today was Monday what day would it be in 1000 days' time?' would be Sunday because 1000/7 =142.8571429 so if you take 142 and multiply it by 7 you get 994. 1000-994=6. The 994th day would be a Monday so the 1000th day would be a Sunday.
