I found a way to find out the value of the top number without the two numbers below it. Lets say the bottom numbers are:
1,2,3 so you would times the middle number by two then add the two other bottom numbers to get the top number. So (2x2)+(1+3)=8.Now to work out the answer the original way. (1+2)+(2+3)=8.Now let's do an equation with much bigger numbers. So the bottom numbers are:
7,123,8
So(123x2)+(7+8)=261
To work out this equation the proper way;
(7+123)+(123+8)=261
