To find the day of the week, I would find the number of days between dates and then I would divide the number of days by 7. Then if there was a decimal or a remainder, I would multiply 7 by the whole integer. Then I would get that product and subtract it from the number of days to get the remainder. And then I would add that many days to the day of the week.
