At first, we submitted a solution before we re-read the directions to the problem. We had shapes we equal to a number greater than 12. Also, We had repeated numbers for shape values.
After trial and error we figured out the shape values that were 12 or less. We kept some of the shape values that were correct, and below 12. After reading the instructions we saw each shape was going to be a number from 1-12.
Shape Values:
Upside Down Triangle=0
Diamond=1
Square=2
Rectangle=3
Oval=4
Star=5
Triangle=6
Semi Circle=8
Sixteen Sided Shape=9
Hexagon=10
