All the numbers in the 9 times table have the same symbol next to them (except for 99 and 90) and every time, your number will be a 9 times table number. This is because every time your number gets bigger, the amount getting taken away gets larger by 1. This applies in every set of 10 (e.g 10 to 19, 20 to 29 and so on.)
1+0=1 ;10-1=9
1+1=2 ;11-2=9
1+2=3 ;12-3=9
1+3=4 ;13-4=9
1+4=5 ;14-5=9
1+5=6 ;15-6=9
1+6=7 ;16-7=9
1+7=8 ;17-8=9
1+8=9 ;18-9=9
1+9=10 ;19-10=9
