We first wrote down all the statements and the pattern that went with it, then we found the common multiples of the patterns to find out the number that shares the statements. First we listed out all the numbers that qualifies each person's statement. After we found which numbers that were repeated in the lists. There were many numbers that we sorted out into the correct statements. Then we got the numbers that fitted in the statements and and found the patterns.
The repeating numbers in two of the sets were: 3, 6, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24 and 30.
The repeating number for three of the sets were: 6, 15 and 30.
The repeating numbers for all of the sets was only 30.
*The pattern for Alison and Sam's statement was adding 20 starting with 10 because Sam's
third number in his list is 10 and it adds 20 every five numbers. Alison's list always has numbers with multiples of 10.
