Once you have found the symbol that represents one, you can work your way up from there. There is a piece that shows you the symbols for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 so you just have to find the right number to add to the chain of numbers in a row. Then you keep adding pieces that fit the pattern and the square to solve the problem.
