I noticed that the formula for finding the number of triangles in these parallelograms were base x height x 2. We know that the formula for a normal parallelogram is bxh for area. However, in 1 unit you could fit 2 triangles in. So you must multiply the number by 2 for the number of triangles in the parallelogram. B x H x 2
For the trapezium, you would have to add the 2 different bases (A+B). Then times it by its height. Once again, you could fit 2 triangles in 1 unit which means you that you don't have to divide it by 2. Formula to find number of triangles in trapezium: A+B x H
