You need 25 blocks to get 5 steps up and 5 steps down. how did I find that out? I found a pattern which was: 1x1=1, 2x2=4, 3x3=9, 4x4=16, 5x5=25. All the numbers are multiplied by themselves to get the amount of blocks you need to get the correct number of steps.
