Three consecutive numbers will always add up to a multiple of 3(other than 3 itself).
1+2+3=6 (2x3)
2+3+4=9 (3x3)
100+101+102= 303(101x3)
I conjecture that this will work for any 3 consecutive numbers added together.
What would happen if we changed the adding to subtracting, multiplying or dividing?
What if we used even consecutive numbers?
What if we used odd consecutive numbers?
What if we changed it to consecutive multiples of three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
