say your numbers were 4,5,6,7 when you times the outer numbers 4 and 7 (4x7)it will equall 28 and then you do step 2 , times the two middle numbers 5 and 6 (5x6)which equalls 30 .then if you try it again on 4 new consecutive number such as 1,2,3,4 when you times the outer numbers 1 and 4 (1x4)it will equall 4 and then you do step 2 , times the two middle numbers 2 and 3 (2x3)which equalls 6
