I had three different ideas for this problem.

If T= time
The code could be 400 for four o'clock (pm)

If T= temperature
The code could be 608 because 16 degrees Celius is 60.8 F.

If T= 20
As T is the 20th letter of the alphabet, the code could be 320 as 20 x 16 is 320 or 036 by adding 20 and 16.
