when you are running swimming or biking, the longer time you exercise(with the same distance) you will burn more calories. So because Adam came first in the swimming he burnt the least estimated at around 190 calories because he was over 2 minutes in front, then it was Ben so 210 calories, then it was Charles so 220 calories. the last two were only 1 minute apart so the was only 10 between them instead of the two minute gap between the first two (so 20 calories). In the cycling 1st was Charles so he burnt 1150 calories, then 2nd was Adam who burnt around 1200 calories, then Ben who burnt around 1250 calories. there was a bigger difference in calories because it was a longer distance. Then onto the running. Charles came first so he burnt 650 calories, then Ben which burnt him 700, then Adam came last so he burnt 750 calories. so altogether Charles burnt 2020 calories in the race, then it was Adam who burnt 2140 calories, the most amount of calories was burnt by Ben who burnt 2160 calories.
I was suprised because i thought that the faster you go the more calories you burn, but then i worked out that it was th other way round logically
