We used various different strategies to try and solve the problem:
1 group worked through all the clues to the end moving the countries into order and they worked through all the clues again, moving any that were in the wrong place and then worked through them again to check they were correct.
Another group worked through each clue placing the countries and then moved onto the next clue, checking back with the previous clues that the countries were still in the correct places.
Charlie used a mathematical method allocating points for each one above and subtracting a point for below to work out where each country should go adding up the points he had allocated.
We worked the answers to be:
