Start by working out which number equals 12 if you take that number away from 20. That number is the value of square. Then devide 12 by 3 and that gives you the value of circle. next work out 18-12 and that is the value of triangle. We already know that hexagon is one less than triangle because the difference in the totles of the first and second is two and 1 has 2 triangles and the other has 2 hexagons. so devide 2 by 2 is 1 so triangle + 1 is hexagon. then add up the colulm with the ? to find the answer.
