Celebrate the end of your first year of teaching by joining us for a maths-filled professional development day with the NRICH team.
Join the NRICH team in Cambridge for a free professional development day designed to support NQTs in nurturing confident, resourceful and creative mathematical problem-solvers in their classrooms.
As a result of attending this full-day CPD event you will also have a better understanding of how to use rich tasks to support the aims of the new National Curriculum: fluency, reasoning and problem solving.
About the day: The day will be highly interactive with a mix of plenary speaker sessions and workshops.
We will:
- explore what is meant by rich tasks that support creative problem solving
- understand how to embed them in the mathematics lesson
- become familiar with the extensive resources being made available by the NRICH team
- discuss and debate effective practice with other teachers
