If I only had 2 eggs, I would go up to the 50th floor to cut the possibilities in half. This is because if the egg broke on the 50th floor, you could start back from the bottom testing from the first floor up to the 49th floor and stop where the egg breaks, which would mean that the egg can only hold up to the floor below it. This is similar to what was said about going starting at the 5th floor. But, if the egg didn't break on the 50th floor, I could start going up one floor at a time, which would mean that I would have to go up 25 floors which would be better than starting on the 5th floor because if the egg didn't break on the 5th floor, I would still have to go up 95 floors one at a time, assuming that the egg wouldn't break until I got to the 100th floor. If there was an elevator, it would make things even easier as it would be faster to go down to get the egg and come back up to the floor above the one you were just on. If you started on the 5th floor and the egg didn't break, you could get the other egg that you dropped and go up to the 75th floor which narrow down the possibilities again. This would mean that you could possibly cut down more than half of your work as you could at least skip 50 floors either way.
