First, on a piece of paper,I put the numbers 7,8,13,14 and 3 along the top.I then then worked out the solution by using this format:

8 7 13 14 3
------------------------------------
3,5 0,7 9,4 8,6 1,2
1,7 2,5 9,4 8,6 0,3
2,6 DOES NOT WORK!!!
0,8 3,4 7,6 5,9 1,2

I found that the easiest way to go about this was to start by working out the different pairs of numbers that make 8 and then for each pair, working upwards through the other numbers, starting with the smallest because these had fewer possible combinations.

The three answers I came across were: 3 and 5; 1 and 7; and 0 and 8.
