Every number in the mathematical universe can be made with consecutive numbers PROVIDED that negative numbers are permitted. Think of a number you're trying to make with consecutive numbers as x. Now take one from x to make x-1. If you take 2(x-1) away from you end up with -x+2. Now take all the numbers from x-1 to -x+2. If you add all these numbers together you get 0. Then add x
