Warmsnug double glazing
1. We worked out the perimeter and area of each shape.
2. Then we found which windows had the same area and worked out the difference between E and O. We realised the difference in price was because E had 2cm more frame than O.
3. We found the price difference to be £110. We then halved this because there were 2cm of frame. They were then £55 each.
4. We realised this could not be correct as this would make the cost of all the other frames too much.
5. We used I and K to work out 1cm of frame was £20 and used J to work out that 1cm² of glass was £10 by taking away the price of the frame and divided the leftover number by 12 as there was 12cm² of glass. We already knew that E or O had to be wrong because of the mix up when we thought 1cm of frame to be £55.
6. We added the frame to the glass for each window, and found E to be wrong.
