The number that I have chosen is 12.
THen I had to square the number 12 x 12 = 144
Then I had to take the number that I started with away from 144 and that = 132. That is an even number.
This happens because if your number is odd or even, say 15 is odd so that timesed by itself will be odd. Then if you minus the number it will always be an even number.
