TUESDAY
For any n x n cloth with order of rotational symmetry 4, apart from the centre square, every square will be the same colour as three others. Therefore to find the number of differently coloured squares in an n x n cloth you take 1 away from n x n to get the number of non-central squares. You then divide by 4 to get the maximum number of different colours for the non-central squares. You then add 1 to get the different colour of the central square.
So (nxn -1 / 4) + 1 is the number of different colours for Tuesdays n x n cloth.
