The first race I think that the spider won because his eight legs gave him an extra boost and spiders are naturally fast. The frog could've won because he would've jumped to finish line. The catepillar, even thought it has many legs, it is still very slow. The ladybird was no where near as fast enough. On the second race, I think the butterfly won because his wings would've pushed him further and made him faster.
