To get a score of 1000, I found it useful to see ten lots of ten veiwings, which cost me 100 points, before making my guess. I found that every time, I either won back that 100 so I made no loss or won 150 which is 50 more than I started with. Gradually, the 50s added up to 1000 points. A good way of guessing is by looking at the amounts over or under the lines marking the integers the columns reach up to and comparing these amounts which involves finding equal amounts on either side of lines which make up for each other and finding smaller amounts that, when added, are equal to another larger amount.
Those were my main methods to scoring 1000 points.
