First we experimented to see what we could find out, then we draw the grid out on a piece of paper.We then saw a pattern that on every line it added up to five even when we did it diagonally, it still added up to five.On each of the rows and columns it had the numbers 00311 those numbers add up to 5.

Each time we pressed the 13 buttons we got a different score each time, because we pressed another 13 different buttons which gave us a different score each time we tried the puzzle.Over all the solution was 5!
