The first room:
We looked at 3 dice and worked out possibilities of making 8.
2 + 2 + 4, 6 + 1 + 1, 5 + 2 + 1, 3 + 3 + 2
Every time we looked underneath the sum of the numbers was 13.
The first key is 13.

The second room:
The first two cards had to add to 13.
We used cards 0-9 and moved them around.
The arrangement was 8, 5, 4, 7, 9.
The second key is 9.

The third room:
This was hard! We struggled with this and then it seemed so obvious.
The long side of the rectangle is 9cm.
The radius of the circle has to be 2.5cm as it is half the diameter which has to be 5cm (the length of the square).
The centres of the two circles would each be 2.5 cm in to the rectangle so we subtracted 2 x 2.5cm from 9cm.
The centres of the circles are 4cm apart.
We squared 4 to get 16 and subtracted 1.
The third key is 15.

The fourth room:
The arrangement has to be 6 1 8
2 4
7 5 3
as the sides must all equal 15.
We added 6 + 8 + 7 + 3 = 24
24 - 10 = 14
The fourth key is 14.

The fifth room:
We used cubes to arrange 4 rows with 3 left over and 5 rows with 4 left over
xxxx xxxx
xxxx xxx did not work out

xxxx xxxxx
xxxx xxxxx
xxxx xxxxx did not work out
xxx

xxxx xxxxx
xxxx xxxxx
xxxx xxxxx did work out
xxxx xxxx
xxx

The last arrangement shows that the tarts could be arranged in fours with 3 left over and in fives with 4 left over.
There were 19 tarts altogether.
The fifth key is 19.

The last question:
Using the alphabet code
13 = M
9 = I
15 = O
14 = N
19 = S
So Skippy's real name is SIMON.

We finally finished!
Thankyou - it was fun.
