This question is for the first part of this puzzle and it is easier to do if you know that opposite sides of the dice add up to 7.
For example, 1 and 6, 2 and 5, and 3 and 4.
Therefore if you use for example if you use 4, 3 and 1 to add up to 8, you will need to add the number to those numbers so that they will add up to 7.
4 plus 3 = 7
3 plus 4 = 7
1 plus 6 = 7
Then you add 3,4 and 6 together and you will get 13, that is your answer. Even if you used a different set of numbers to add up to 8, for example, 5,2,and 1, the end answer will still be 13, regardless of what set you use.
