Our soluition to part one is as follows,

We started be realising that on the opposite sides of a dice, they equal 7.
We started with 2, 2 and 4, all added together to equal 8. So then the bottom numbers would have to equal 5, 5 and 3, and they equal 13. We then tried 1, 3 and 4. They equal 6, 4 and 3, which equal 13 again. When then tryed 1, 1 and 6. Which equal 6, 6 and one. And again, equals 13. We then came to the conclusion that 13 was the right answer. when you add 7, 7 and 7, it equals 21, then when you take away 8, you get 13.
