To start with we jumped to 14, then 28, then 51, then 96, then 81, then 54, then 87, then 72, then 49 then to the end. So we did it in 10 moves.
We knew if we took the outside route we would have to land on all the green squares. There will be 15 moves at least.
We then took the second short cut and saw that if you landed on all the green squares you would have to take 13 moves.
Therefore the shortest route has the least number of moves.
