4 Buttons. When I first saw the question I saw that there were 4 numbers so I wrote down the simple combinations 1234 then I wrote down the other combinations 1243 1342 and so on. After I wrote them down I found a pattern, there were 6 numbers in each one and 4 buttons in the coat so my solution was to X it by those two numbers. 6 x 4 = 24.

5 Buttons. For the 5 button solution I first thought of doing letters so it would be easier to calculate. When I first thought about the 5 numbers [ group A ] I figured out that there were 6 numbers so I calculated 5 x 6 = 30 and since there were 5 buttons so I did 30 x 5 = to 150 so that was my answer.
