I tried all the different combinations of cards that add to 15. They were:
1 + 14, 2 + 13, 3 + 12, 4 + 11, 5 + 10, 6 + 9, 7 + 8, 8 + 7, 9 + 6, 10 + 5, 11 + 4, 12 + 3, 13 + 2 and 14 + 1. Then I used trial and error method to find out which combinations work. The only combinations that add to 15 were 6 + 9 and 8 + 7. My solutions were:
Solution 1:
Card 1: 8, Card 2: 7, Card 3: 13, Card 4: 10, Card 5: 6, Card 6: 12, Card 7: 9.
Solution 2:
Card 1: 6, Card 2: 9, Card 3: 11, Card 4: 12, Card 5: 4, Card 6: 14, Card 7: 7.
