When you draw diagonals to the center of a square, the angles inside are obtuse angles because they are wider than 90°. 90° is the same as a right angle so with diagonals leading to the middle, there are no right angles. However, when you do not draw any diagonal lines, the corners of a square are all right angles. This is because all the angles in a square add up to 360° and there are four equal angles in a square. 360 ÷ 4 = 90.
