What the totals have in common is that the total is 3 times the amount of the middle number of the 3 consecutive numbers. If I use the numbers 10,11,12, when you add them up they get 33=11x3. 12 is 1 more than 11 and 10 is 1 less than 11 so if I take one from 12 and replace it to the 10 all of the 3 numbers are 11. So 11x3=33. Same if I do 21,22,23 I get 22x3=66 because of the same method:23 is 1 more than 22 and 21 is 1 less than 22 so if I take one from 23 and replace it to the 21 all of the 3 numbers are 22.
