The method works for 2 digit numbers and 1 digit numbers. for example: 3*11= 0_3 which is 0 + 3 = 3 you put the 3 in the middle 033 and you don't need the 0 so it is 33 so 33 = 11 * 3 and for 2 digits: 94*11 = 9_4 which is 9 + 4 = 13 but this time the answer has 2 digits so you put the units digit in the middle and add the tens digit to the hundreds and 9 + 1 = 10 so it is 1034 so 1034 = 94 * 11. This method does not work on 3 digit numbers though. For example: 394*11 that would be ????? I really don't know how to use this method with 3 digit number but what I do know is why this works: so for two digit numbers eg. 45 you do that * 10 (45 * 10 = 450) and then you do your number * 1 (45 * 1 = 45) (and because 10 * tables are the same as 1 * tables except with 0 at the end if you add the tens (4 + 5 = 9) they are the two digits of the original number.) add 10 * number and 1 * number = number * 11
