If you have 54 X 11 then you will have to partition the 54. After you do that, you have to add 5 and 4 together which = 9 so you would have 594. Then you would work out 54 X 11, so does 54 X 11 =594 ? Then I tried 63 X 11 and that atually worked because I partitioned 63 then I added them together which = 693.

I tried a 3 digit number but it didn't work. I tried 356 X 10, I first partioned 3, 5 and 6, then added them together with = 14. Then I did 356 X 10 which
= 3910. From that explanation you can see three digit numbers don't work.
