So, firstly I read the question twice-what was it asking? Then I wrote what it was asking me to do in my own words(to help me understand-optional). Then I wrote the numbers 1 to 11, then I added it all together using column method( or you can add 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11= - or you can add up 1 to 7 and then 8 to 11. Therefore you can then add them up together. Then you have your answer then you can move onto the next question.

Try to start the same way- read the question over again until you understand. Then, you could interpret it and write it in your own words.
