If there was 3 oranges + 2 pears + 1 banana in one half, that makes 6, so there must be 6 apples in the other half of the bowl.
If there are 4 bananas + 3 pears + 3 plums in one half, that makes 10 fruits. So one quarter of apples would be 5 and one quarter of oranges would be 5.
