Since you need :
1 block to make 1 step up and 1 step down and you need 4 blocks to make 2 steps up and to steps down.You would need 13 blocks to make 5 steps up and 5 steps down.

this is because all you have to do is add 3 more blocks then the last time when you want to increase the number of steps you do.
