Times of day
These pictures show some different activities that you may get up to during a day. What order would you do them in?
Problem

Here are five pictures showing something happening at different times of the day.
Have a good look at each one. What do you see in the picture? What is happening? Could you describe it to someone else?
- You could put them into an order in which you think they might happen through a day.
- You could suggest what time these things happen in your day.
- You could see how many hours might pass between pairs of pictures you have chosen
- You could draw another picture that might 'fit' between two of the pictures.
- You will have your own ideas too...
Please let us know what you try.
Getting Started
Which of these things do you do in the morning?
Which do you do first?
Which of these things do you do in the afternoon?
Which of these things do you do in the evening?
Student Solutions
We had this solution from Krystof which I thought you might like to see.

and then from Rayan:

Alex from Elm Park Primary School in New Zealand sent in four possible suggestions. What do you think?
The order that they are in is not always the one you think because there are more than just one. The picture where the bear goes to sleep may be in the morning or the afternoon and same with the one with the bath as the bear could take a bath in the morning or afternoon too. The answers are named here:
A. 5. 4. 3. 1. 2.
B. 4. 3. 1. 2. 5.
C. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
D. 5. 2. 4. 3. 1.
(We presume Alex has numbered the pictures in order 1 to 5 from top left -> top right -> middle left -> middle right -> bottom left.)
Thank you for these solutions and I hope others enjoyed the activity too.
